We took a drive over to the other coast this weekend and ended up in Juniper FL. What a beautiful place we saw. I have never heard of Admirals Cove Homes before so we drove around and took in the sights. There were many people outside enjoying the Florida sunshine, working in their yards, playing golf at the nearby golf course. My husband couldn’t get over how many boats there were on the property and how big the clubhouse was. We drove around trying to find some model homes even though we realized we could never afford such luxury! We never did find the models but we definitely saw a few open houses and we fell in love with this community. If you live anywhere in Florida and Juniper is a day trip for you I would highly recommend that you visit Admirals Cove and spend some time in the community!

Superbowl XLIII Half Time

Superbowl XLIII comes to the city of Tampa on February 1st. The NFL recently announced that Bruce Springsteen and his E Street Band will be the headline act at the half time show here in Tampa that night. Super Bowl XLII, last year, featured Tom Petty and the Heartbreakers, & almost 150 million viewers tuned in. I would think The Boss will bring in even more viewers. Do we think Bruce Springsteen will want to look around for a new Tampa home here while in the area, maybe. But we are counting on the hundreds of visitors to fall in love with our area while they are here. Mortgage Rates Remain Low

Realtor Bob Lipply, who specializes in East Lake homes, believes that there is good news for soon to be homeowners as prices and financing options on homes will remain extremely affordable. While there appeared to be a sizeable recovery in the housing market taking place, it was later accredited to buyers securing the homebuyer tax credit before the April 30^th deadline. Following the short-lived “recovery”, demand for home loans plunged to a 13-year low. Analysts including Freddie Mac chief economist Frank Nothaft believe that this is a temporary decline, admitting that expectations for growth were higher for the first three months of the year. Though the housing market has shown signs of being on the right path to recovery, it will be a slow one with inflation being relatively calm.

Freddie Mac has recently provided figures which show that mortgage rates are teetering at record lows, even amidst an unstable U.S. bond market, with 30-year fixed mortgages averaging 4.79 percent for the week ending June 3, up 0.01 percentage points from the prior week but half a point lower than last year. This is relatively low to the all-time low of 4.71 percent reached this past December, confirming that 30-year rates have remained mostly unaffected. Equally, 15-year fixed-rate mortgages have shown new record lows reaching 4.20 percent, which is considerably lower than the 4.79 percent average of the previous year. Freddie Mac has been tracking 15-year rates since 1991 and 30-year rates since 1971.
